About Us

Founded in 2000, the mission of Boys & Girls Club of Lake County (BGCLC) is to inspire all young people to fulfill their potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. At BGCLC, we envision a future in which ALL youth in Lake County can dream big, achieve their goals, and contribute to a healthy and prosperous community. Seeing nearly 400 youth per day across 10 Club locations, we work towards our mission and vision every day through our after school and summer programs for youth ages 5 through end of high school focused on meeting the needs and interests of our youth and families.

Becoming a Leader in Youth Development Services

Impactful community support programming is developed successfully through large-scale collaboration. That is why our community led strategic planning process included participation and feedback from our key stakeholders: youth participants, parents, community partners, and funders.


We learned there is a renewed confidence in and optimism for BGCLC and a powerful passion from stakeholders to support our community's youth, making this an opportune moment for BGCLC to step up and lead.
