Academic Success Programs

Power Hour

A homework help and tutoring program that provides Club staff with strategies, activities, resources, and information to encourage Club youth to become self-directed leaders through homework completion and success in school.

S.T.E.A.M

An innovative and creative program providing opportunities for Club members to learn about science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. Staff work to inspire critical thinking skills, problem solving, and many more skills to empower youth to create new solutions to real-world challenges.

H.Y.L.A

Club staff create opportunites for high yield learning activities, like leisure reading, writing activities, and educational games that are meant to be fun AND educational. These activities help members apply, in a practical way, what they learn in the classroom.

The Arts

A comprehensive program that inspires creativity and develops 21st Century skills through fine arts, digital arts, performing arts, and applied arts.

MyFuture

Technology program consisting of engaging and exciting project-based experiences in digital literacy, media making, computer science, visual arts, leadership, and more for members of all ability levels. Teens utilize MyFuture the same way younger members do, but also have access to a literacy program that exposes them to the art of hip-hop & cipher culture, leadership programs and advocacy programs.

Money Smarts/Money Matters

Utilizes the FDIC's Money Smart financial education program to teach youth about money, enhance their financial skills, and create positive banking relationships. Money Matters is similar but targeted towards teens to promote financial responsibility and independence by building basic money management skills. 

Brain Gain

A summer program that delivers engaging, educational activities for youth ages 6 to 18 years of age focusing on 21st Century Skills like collaboration and critical thinking. This program is designed to help diminish summer learning loss. 

CareerLaunch

Prepares teens for the working world by embarking on a journey to explore careers, make sound educational decisions, and find success in the world of work.

Diplomas2Degrees

Introduces academic goals and promotes the importance of higher education to members by linking their future aspirations with concrete actions, like college searching and securing financial aid.
